Consultants preparing the Regeneration Strategy for Newlyn hope the public will come forward with comments at an exhibition this Friday and Saturday. MDL Developments want to know what Newlyn people think the port needs for a better future. Current ideas being considered include re-locating the fish market, a marina - and facilities that will attract more visitors. Some of these ideas will be outlined at a Public Exhibition being held at the Fishermen's Mission between 8am and 9pm on Friday and Saturday. But the consultants also want to know what is needed keep Newlyn a vibrant community - and what facilities residents would like. They also want to hear people's views on education and training facilities - and on particular sites or buildings that have unrealised potential. Meetings have been held over the past year with a number of organisations including the Newlyn Association and the Gwavas Estate Inter-Agency Group. To have your say attend the meeting and write comments in the comments book or on yellow 'post it notes', or tell the consultants. article copyright © THE CORNISHMAN |
